Community Needs
The Martin Sortun PTA is hosting a Community Clothing, Food & Baby Item Drive on Saturday, May 1st from 1-4pm to help families in our community. We are looking for new & gently used clothing*, non-perishable food, and baby items for children 2 and under. Please look at the full list of items needed below.
*We kindly ask that you do not bring clothing sizes that are not on our list.
- SIGN-UP HERE to purchase new clothing so our families can have a few new things
- We are accepting gently used clothing for our families and Kent Youth & Family Services:
- Boys Sizes: 6-7, 13-14, 14
- Boys Shoes Sizes: little kids 12, big kids 3, big kids 5,
- Girls Sizes: 5-6, 7-8, 8, 14-16
- Girls Shoes Sizes: little kids 10, little kids 12, big kids 1
- Junior Girls Sizes: 2, 5, 16
- Women's Sizes: 11-13, XL
- Baby & Toddler Sizes 3t and under. We kindly ask that you do not bring other sizes.
- Non-perishable food for the Kent Covenant Church's food pantry. We are accepting all non-perishable food. Their biggest needs are: peanut butter, cereal, canned fruit and veggies, pastas and sauces, soups, tuna and canned chicken and diapers.
- We are also accepting baby items & clothing for Kent Youth & Family Services:
- Gently used or new spring & summer clothing for infants to 3T
- Gently used or new outdoor baby items (please no large or heavy playhouses or structures)
- Gently used or new toys, books, bottles, etc.
- NEW food, formula, diapers, wipes, teethers, etc.

A Drive-Thru Event
This is a Drive-Thru Clothing & Food Drive hosted by the Martin Sortun PTA. The safety of our volunteers and donors is very important to us. Stay in your car and wear your mask if you need to roll down your window. All volunteers will be wearing masks.
- Please place your donations in your trunk - please label your items if you've purchased new clothing for one of our families.
- Pull into Martin Sortun's parking lot
- Pop your trunk and volunteers will take your donated items
