Direct Donation Drive

Help Us Support Martin Sortun Elementary and Our Kids!

We are very excited to kick off a Direct Donation Drive to support our school in a new way. 

This Donation Drive allows 100% of your generous donation to fund essential online educational programs and subscriptions. It takes a $40,000 budget to provide Martin Sortun students and staff with so many wonderful programs throughout the year. 

Please help us continue to support them by donating today.  Each donation is tax deductible and eligible for employer matching, so please don’t forget to ask your employer if they MATCH employee donations to a non-profit, tax exempt organization. Thank you!

Employee Donation Matching Programs

Many companies match employee donations, such as: Bank of America, BECU, Microsoft, Boeing, Costco, Hewlett Packard, IBM, Wells Fargo, Expedia, Starbucks, Puget Sound Energy, and many more.  Some will match your volunteer time too!  If you/your spouse work for one of these generous employers, you may be able to DOUBLE your donations!  

Employee Donations for Volunteer Time

Some employers will generously match volunteer time with a financial gift. It is always a good idea to confirm that your employer offers a volunteer matching hours program, what the requirements are, and where to find the form or website for submitting the volunteer hours information. Our children thank you for taking the time to volunteer and submit for matching funds! Contact your HR Department to find out the details and ask how to make a matching gift request today.

Your Shopping Can Help Support Our School!

There are many simple ways to financially support Martin Sortun Elementary while you purchase groceries, clothing, school supplies, and other necessities. The best part? Earning money for our PTA means we are able to offer a wide variety of student programs and events. We are also able to offer grants to our teachers to pay for classroom supplies and beneficial programs they have identified.

Fred Meyer/QFC donates about $2.5 million per year to non-profits in Alaska, Idaho, Oregon and Washington, based on where their customers tell them to give. 

Here’s how the program works: 
To sign up, link your Fred Meyer/QFC Rewards Card to Martin Sortun Elementary PTA at www.fredmeyer.com/communityrewards. 
You can search for us by our name or by our non-profit number: 91-1375718.  Each time you shop and use your Rewards Card, you help Martin Sortun Elementary PTA earn a donation! You still earn your Rewards Points, Fuel Points, and Rebates, just as you do today.
